Friday Night Friends
This is a fellowship group that meets once a month. The range of activities includes going out to dinner, meeting for game nights in members homes, progressive dinners, theme parties, etc. This group includes a broad age range of people. A nursery is provided at the Church.

Golden Heirs
The Golden Heirs is an organization for those 55 years of age and older. They meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and a program. Meetings are usually held at the church. This is a program that attracts people from different areas in the community.

Presbyterian Men and Women
These groups have regular meetings and Bible Studies. Go to our Christian Education page to learn more.

After Service Fellowship

Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat is our annual Halloween alternative.

Easter Activities
Easter Walk is the annual Easter learning experience. Families move through interactive stations to learn of the events leading to the arrest, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The Easter egg hunt is for toddlers through fifth grade.

Third Grade Bible Presentation
First Presbyterian Church of Lufkin presents third graders with a Bible.

Vacation Bible School

Junior High Youth
Our Junior High Youth meet one Sunday a month for a service activity. They also meet once a month for a “fun” activity such as bowling or skating.

The Junior High Youth also attend Mo-Ranch Junior High Jubilee every summer.

In February, the Associate Pastor teaches a communicant class for 6th graders. This class prepares the youth to make their public profession of faith. During this time elders currently serving on the Session mentor these youth.

Senior High Youth
Our Senior High youth meet once a month for a service activity. In previous years, the youth have organized a “Back to School” supply drive for those of our community who could not afford supplies. They also deliver gifts and dinners to our church members who cannot get out to church. They help with the local Habitat for Humanity building projects.

The Senior Highs travel to Montreat, North Carolina to attend a youth conference or do a working mission project each summer. The youth often participate in Wednesday evening or Sunday morning worship services. They lead these services at least one or two times a year.

Boy Scouts of America
